The international standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS) ISO 14001:2004 is a standard within automotive industry. Therefore, all manufacturing and Research & Development facilities as well as central functions of the Divisions in the Automotive Area worldwide are certified according to this specification. The implementation of EMS according to ISO 14001 or EMAS started 1996 and continues since then. The following locations are additionally validated according to the european Environmental Management and Auditing Scheme II (EMAS II): Ingolstadt, Nuremberg. The EMS of the Divisions in the Automotive Area has been extended by elements of Occupational Safety, Fire Prevention and Protection and Occupational Health. Furthermore, it has been merged with the division`s Quality Management System (TS 16949) now representing one comprehensive Management System. With respect to its content it is in compliance with requirements as outlined in specification for Occupational Safety & Health Management Systems OHSAS 18001:1999. | Implementation of Environmental Management Systems according to ISO 14001 / EMAS II at CAS locations: | | All certificates are available as pdf-file and can be downloaded.
